Sad news this morning that Unity Brewing Co is closing down. Another great brewery lost.

Comment from the Founder, Jimmy Hatherley, is grimly unsurprising:

“Covid, Brexit and the cost of living crisis have made it impossible for us to operate without making a loss every month.”

Unity were small but very well respected within the industry and made great beers. If they can go under, who's next?

Reckon we may see some big names go this year.

Another London craft brewery gone.

I heard whispers of Solvay Society closing yesterday. Now they've announced it over on their Instagram. Sad times.
