In a comment in favor of Illinois Governor JB Pritzker asking DHS to postpone their harassment of Chicagoans just for Halloween -- for the kids -- Nicole Koretsky writes:
"I've always liked Pritzker; I've voted for him without hesitation based on his great policies, and his fiduciary plans that are pulling my state out of the bankruptcy caused by former Republican governor Bruce Rauner. I have always trusted Pritzker. But I have come to treasure him: he has an immutable moral compass; he has indomitable spirit and cannot be intimidated; he has always genuinely given a damn about fellow human beings and as a Jewish person with deep roots in the survivors of the European catastrophe, he has always been finely tuned into the vital importance of the protection of our rights, in the face of the government (any government or party) that would infringe upon them.

As we Chicagoans cope with this Nazi invasion I am just sitting here feeling thankful that of all of the possible people who could be our governor right now, it's Pritzker.

Another note: Halloween is big here, but we are a city of about five million if you include the suburbs that are adjacent to the city, and about one and a half million of that population is Latin American. The Dia des los Muertos celebrations here are every bit as big as they are in SoCal, etc, and Nazi Barbie et al know that. And while the administration is the least culturally literate of any in my lifetime, and while they probably don't understand how deeply important this holiday is, especially as their family members are being kidnapped and disappeared and trafficked, and calling on their ancestors is ever more important, they (the new Nazis) know enough to recognize that the brown people will be gathered this weekend, and that they make a good target, just as the Nazis targeted Passover seders, etc.

I'm not a religious person but I almost wish I were, so I could believe in hell, and pray they burn in it, slowly, for what they are doing."
