Pretty proud of some of our #TSSRovers players today. Kirstin Tynan, our keeper, had a trial with Halifax Tides this week and Maddy Mah, one of our stalwart leaders who is studying journalism at University of Toronto was doing colour commentary for the USPORTS women’s soccer championship coverage on CBC.
One of the great things about being involved in this club is watching these young people forge their journeys and getting to be a part of that.

In England, the FA Cup began today. As one of 440 owners of a Canadian semi-professional football club, I have an active interest in the fates and fortunes of small teams in this competition. The prospect of giant-killings abound and having experienced it once and almost twice with my TSS Rovers FC, I can say there is almost no greater victory for a club of semi-pro punters than taking down a proper professional team. #football #facup #tssrovers #cansoc

On the way to our last #TSSRovers games on the season. A win or a draw and our men’s team wins the league. If we lose our opposition, Victoria Highlanders win the league so it’s essentially a final.
If the women’s team wins they secure the fourth and final spot in the playoffs for the Cup.
Big day and away travel starts with a dawn ferry ride.

How I spent my Saturday. Singing for my beloved #TSSRovers away at Nanaimo today on a hot sunny day, watching our men’s team come from behind to win and stay top of the league and watching our women fight to a draw and hold on to a playoff spot.

It's an exciting week for us at #TSSRovers. Today we announce our women's staff, welcoming back head coach Chelsey Hanneson and assistant Cami Gomez. This season they are joined by Lauren King. An all-women staff for our women's team, and a development pathway for women coaches into higher levels of the women's game in Canada.
