Here’s the quarter final brackets for the Canadian Championship.
We might be getting a Vancouver derby if Vancouver Whitecaps and Vancouver FC each win.
Whitecaps are the overwhelming favourites to take Cavalry, though Cavalry is no pushover—especially since they’ll have home advantage.
CF Montréal is also the favourite to beat Vancouver FC, though considering all the upsets that have happened—and CF Montréal is one of the worst teams in the #MLS—Vancouver FC could totally beat them.
Forge FC is the best team in the #CPL. CS Saint-Laurent have already proven to be giant killers, so nobody should count them out. Nevertheless, it’s silly to pretend Forge won’t likely win.
Atlético Ottawa vs. FC Supra de Québec is the most intriguing match-up. Atlético humiliated Toronto FC to reach there while Supra is in their first season, and the team is entirely composed of local Québec soccer players. This one is up in the air.
Nevertheless, unless there’s yet another legendary upset, I predict we’ll see a Whitecaps vs. Forge final.

Yesterday, I took my family to the Vancouver FC vs Langley United game.
I’ve never been to a Vancouver FC game because it’s far from where I live. But since we were in the neighbourhood anyway—and the weather was nice—I thought this would be a good way to spend a Sunday.
This was a pretty important match since it’s a Canadian Championship game, and the winner plays CF Montreal in the quarterfinals.
Langley United play in the BC Premier League, which is considered Tier 3 on the Canadian soccer pyramid. But you can’t take Tower 3 teams lightly. CS Saint-Laurent, which is a Tier 3 team beat Inter Toronto—and that was a game that also happened yesterday.
And that wasn’t the only upset so far this year. Atlético Ottawa beat Toronto FC just last week. So it’s been an awful month for Toronto #soccer this month.
Langley United did a great job against Vancouver FC. There were moments that I thought they could pull off an upset. But in the 2nd half, Vancouver FC got two goals.
It was a good time with my family. My wife got a hat and my daughter got a scarf. And they both love soccer.

This was such a brutal loss for Pacific FC.
It was a Canadian Championship game. A win could have built the club’s local fanbase.
Instead, Calvary FC are facing the Whitecaps.

A complete 1st half without me even remotely feeling the urge to shout at the refs. A new all time record! Officiating for the #CanChamp #VoyageursCup officially does what #CanPL can not.

Those Wednesday night lights. That 7-0 victory feeling. The sneaking suspicion I'm going to get rained on every goddamned time I'm at this stadium this year. #AtleticoOttawa eliminates #ValourFC from this year's #CanChamp #VoyageursCup #CanPL

Cupset, baby!!!! Holy hell that was fun!! #TSSRovers #L1BC #CanPL #CanChamp #VoyageursCup #MastodonFC
