CW: trypophobia? potter wasp nest
@cohanf As a child I was stung quite often, until I learned how to act around them.
Having a nest that size would make me uneasy, but it's a free sculpture... so... I don't know what I would do.
I do have some pretty big potter wasps flying around, building their mud nests in what's supposed to be my studio XD I think they're harmless, we don't mess with each other. Here's a pic I took:

Went to the #Apple website to check out specs about the new #M5 #Processor and was suddenly attached by #Trypophobia
If you open the #MacBookPro page that is linked on the front page, scroll down just a little bit you will get a strange #AI video that simulates gas bubbles coming out of shoulders of a person or something.

My favourite sculpture at Burghley House. It's entirely possible to walk underneath this without noticing it and there is something distinctly eerie about it just hanging there. You might want to give it a missing if you suffer #trypophobia though!

Walking through the Chapel Market in Islington, I saw the door to what presumably had been a residence that had since been aggressively subdivided, and next to it, a wall of #Airbnb key lockers. They were laid out haphazardly, almost organically, looking not so much like a planned system but more like the eggs of some predatory insect.

So, when we first moved into this house I noticed what looked like a big blob of mud near the toilet window. I figured it was probably some sort of nest, but it didn't seem like there was anything moving near it so I left it alone.. That was like 18 months ago.
Last week I found out about dirt dauber wasp nests and the horror stories of people cutting them open (don't do it! Especially if you are an arachnophobe like me).. I thought the nests looked similar to mine, except I didn't remember seeing a hole in mine at all. So I went out and had another look - and there was one single small hole near the top of it. I figured that I had missed it the first time I looked at it.
Today I went to have another look, and.. well..

I do ink brush drawings. These drawings, usually just happen when I sit down to draw. For the most part, in music terms, they are live improvisation.
I just sit down with blank paper, black ink, and brush. Put on some Skinny Puppy, or Coil, sometimes Nurse With Wound. And draw.

I subscribe to a daily email of the local police blotter, because I'm old, and at the bottom of every email there's an ad about how "Sugar Doesn't Cause Diabetes! This does!" and it's always a picture of something that triggers my trypophobia (fear of lots of holes packed together). And the picture never has anything to do with diabetes, like today it's a weirdly spotted frog. Or someone's skin with some weird ailment that gives them holes. Or a bee hive.
