Hurricane season 2023: Tropical Storm Ian threatens Florida. The ninth named storm of the season, Ian, has formed in the Atlantic Ocean and is heading toward the Florida coast. Ian is expected to strengthen into a hurricane by Wednesday, bringing strong winds, heavy rain and storm surge.
