  1. Another great #TrashTheory video.

I absolutely adored Veruca Salt in the 90s from the moment I heard “Seether” on local radio.

Always hated how critics (usually male) shat on them and other girl fronted groups.

  2. I've been a fan of Wet Leg for years, but haven't owned any of their music. Very happy to correct that today with moisturizer [1] and their earlier self-titled album.

Last week, I watched Trash Theory's video on their origin story [2] and was interested to learn that their breakout single Chaise Longue was a joke song that they never intended to release.

  4. When I first heard "Orinoco flow" by Enya, I immediately became obsessed with it. I recorded it on tape a couple of times so that I could listen to it more than once without rewinding. I'm not sure what drew me to it back then. I was 12. Probably just how different it was.

That being said I still really love the track. The depth. The lushness, the energy of the chorus. To me, it still sounds fresh. (Yeah, I know, I'm just old)

    Thanks, #TrashTheory for the reminder.

  6. #TrashTheory once again speaking to my soul.

The B-52s were such an important group. So many artists took influence from their off the wall style. “Rock Lobster” in particular, gets stuck in my head several times a week.

  7. This Trash Theory video tipped me to the fact that McCartney II is actually... Pretty good? Borderline great?!?

Listened to the whole album after the video last night and, while there are a few duds, yeah, that's mostly pretty great!

  9. this #TearsForFears video from the excellent #TrashTheory YouTube account matched with what I remember about the band from the 80s. They’re a weird pair and rubbed up against the press constantly. What surprised me was how soupy the production was on SFTBC (I listened to it last week on vinyl and it was the same). My conclusion was “I should probably listen to more #PeterGabrielyoutube.com/watch?v=Ke3xktAJgy

  12. Hi
Can someone explain to me...WHAT THE FUCK is with this
Throbbing Gristle nonsense with a song called ...wait for it...Zyklon B Zombie, and these other fuckers DAF with some nonsense called Der Mussolini?

What the bloody fuck's THAT about?!

    I'm watching an episode from a #musicchannel called #TrashTheory.

Each episode goes through the #history of various genres. The latest episode is the history of industrial music.

The narrator isn't thrilled about some of the history of industrial either, so he's not the problem, but what the fuck were these 'artists' thinking back then!?
