The serious #indie folks and #REM itself are wrong: #ShinyHappyPeople is a fabulous song. I never listened to a lot of radio or stuff, so haven’t had to listen to it over and over again back in the day, but it feels very 60s, in a good way. The duet of the singers works perfectly to complement one another.
