The parents-in-law took us out to dinner last night to celebrate my new job, so I did some minimal makeup-- second time this month!-- and tried out a peachier toned blush than I usually use. The light was good and I was feeling cute, so that means selfies!
If anyone ever feels like they're too old to transition, you're not. I was fifty when I started; several years in now, and this is me :QueerCat_Trans: and I'm the happiest with myself I've ever been :heart_trans:

It's been a while since I posted a transition timeline, so to make up for it this one's a double. Both use the same "before" picture of me from 2018. The "after" picture of the timeline on the left shows me in the present (2024) with makeup and a dress, while on the right I'm in no-makeup Chapstick/flannel lesbian mode. No filters in any of them.

It took me until I was 50 to start HRT, and I didn't come out as trans until a year later. It was one of the best things I've ever done, and, like so many other trans people, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I try to be relatively open about being transgender as my little bit of activism. I want to add to the voices letting pretransition people who are struggling know what possibilities are out there, when they're ready :heart_trans:
