15 lipca oficjalnie umarła moja ulubiona aplikacja do śledzenia postępów oglądania #serial'ów - #TVTime. Przed samym zamknięciem #app'ki udało mi się wyeksportować całą moją bazę danych. Poszukałem alternatywy i na początek stanęło na #JustWatch, ale okazała się ona zupełnie nie tym czego potrzebowałem, bo zamiast dać mi prosty interfejs do oznaczania co obejrzałem, a co mam jeszcze do obejrzenia, otrzymałem kombajn wypchany poleceniami, reklamami i innymi niepotrzebnymi śmieciami. Wczoraj przeniosłem się na #TraktTV i póki co jestem zadowolony choć nie wiem czy darmowy plan nie będzie dla mnie zbyt ograniczony, a nie chce płacić kolejnej subskrypcji. Zobaczymy.

Looks like #trakt #traktTV pulled the plug on their v2 interface for VIPs (paying members) as well.
It's a pity to see it go to shit that way.

Thank goodness I'd already exported my data and had imported it in my local #Yamtrack, and have been keeping it in sync (manually). It doesn't have everything and I'll miss the comments section. But it'll be good enough to keep track of the stuff I've watched.

Oof, everyfad.com is shutting down. I've used their SeriesFad app for over 10 years.

Does anyone have a recommendation for TV show tracking apps with import/export feature? The app used to be synced to trakt.tv as well, but recently hasn't updated my progress and now trakt seems to show faulty information for older episodes as well.

#TraktTV, a TV and Movie tracking database, with community features, has been down since December 11, 2022 19:30 PST.

Their main database crashed, which led to corruption of some data.

They've been trying to restore the database, and some information they were able to save between the latest backup and the December 11th crash.

Maybe a decentralised, distributed, federated, and open, system is the next step in such a service?
