Found out about this white woman's work from listening to an interview with #AaronJohnson (the guy I've posted about before who does the Chronically Undertouched project, focusing specifically on Black men). Yesterday I started listening to her book, The Art of Receiving and Giving. She talks about expanding the definition of consent from something someone else wants from you, to something that people can figure out and arrive at together.
She and Aaron both teach people how this depth of consent works in practice with touching (Aaron's focus is on platonic touch, while her work encompasses both platonic and non). Learning from their work is doing good things for my brain, spirit, morale. It's an antidote to all the domination shit going on.
