From #ThomasPepinsky at #Vox, a strange apologia to #dictatorship. Through the lens of Malaysia, he argues authoritarianism isn't as bad as you think - only more boring. Sure, you might not have #PoliticalFreedom, but at least you won't be murdered on a dictator's whim or suffer under the hands of his jack-boot thugs.
It's not like TV. Or #Putin murders Or #Pinochet or #MBS or... ?!?
Think of it like #jimcrow. Perfectly safe. No Lynchings there.
