Quentin Tarantino – „Jackie Brown“ (1997)
Mit „Jackie Brown“ lieferte Quentin Tarantino 1997 einen Film ab, der in seiner Filmografie inzwischen wirkt wie ein zurückgehaltenes, geheimes Juwel. Nach dem riesigen Erfolg von „Pulp Fiction“ (1994) entschied er sich bewusst dafür, keinen weiteren selbstgeschriebenen Pulp-Thriller zu drehen, sondern Elmore Leonards Roman „Rum Punch“ zu adaptieren. Das Ergebnis ist ein faszinierendes, fast elegisches Stück Kino, das tief in die amerikanische Popkultur der 1970er eintaucht – und zugleich ein persönliches Statement ist. (ARTE)

"Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)" is a song co-written by record producer #ThomBell and #WilliamHart, lead singer of the American R&B/Soul vocal group #theDelfonics. It was released by the group in 1969 on the Philly Groove record label and is regarded as a classic, winning a #GrammyAward for #BestR_BVocalPerformanceByADuoOrGroup. It is considered one of the most notable early #PhillySoul singles and typical of the genre, "Didn't I" is a slow love ballad.
