An absolute nightmare on a long-haul flight. I have a new-ish phone which obviously does not support the 3.5mm because everyone wants to be apple. However, most flight entertainment systems still have a 3.5mm interface only.
Yes, let us move towards throwing away old tech and bringing in new because profits need to keep growing and techbros need their new toys.
