  1. @ChrisMayLA6 Some of it I'm sure comes up because we like to look into people posting to get a feel for if it's worth following or not. While looking through old posts you find something interesting and reply or boost it. Others see it and suddenly a tag is trending like the one year old #TellAlice last week 🙂

  5. @alice There was a girl in my class with very long hair. The girls always wanted to braid or just play with the hair. She started getting more and more annoyed so once she just got up and said "No, I don't want you to touch my hair, It's a lot of work to wash and dry and I can't keep doing it every day!". And can you believe it, they let her be after that 🙂

Our class was almost smokers free. But some boys were using that tobacco you put under the lip. The clothes smell revolting.

  12. @alice Before the BBC made Junior Mastermind, my London borough trialled the format in a big library. My parents entered me and I came second.

I would have come first, but I had the same amount of points as someone else and she got the tiebreak question. I got a £15 book token and special mention in school for my troubles.

    Lol.
    I have one too.

But from stabbing myself with a greasy wire while working in a wire rope factory,

It's slowly fading, will probably be gone if I can make it another 20years 😀

  22. @alice As a pet, I have a venomous snake.

This is less impressive and/or scary than it sounds. I have a plains hognose snake named Design. She's venomous in about the same way that a honeybee is venomous, as far as biting humans is concerned. She doesn't even have fangs, but has to chew with her back teeth to envenomate anything. I would literally be more worried about a dog bite getting infected than a bite from Design causing venom problems.

Picture attached; marked "sensitive" for the snake-phobic. #TellAlice

  27. @alice I have a Czech husband. We live in Finland, in the countryside and have four neighbors. One neighbor's sister (Finnish) has worked in the same company as my husband's uncle (Czech) in Czech Republic. They knew each other! What are the odds?! 🤯 #tellalice

  32. @alice In two short years (2011-2012):
    1. The FBI tried to get me fired from my job
    2. The FBI mentioned my 4chan username in a federal hacking case
    3. The FBI delayed my wedding

And the most amusing part? as far as I can tell, all three of these events are /completely unrelated/.

I was heading for a career in forensics rather than medicine, until I went to an introductory lecture at my intended university.

I got freaked out because in the case they presented, the dead person had my name.

Once in a former life, I was pre-sales technical support for a software company. At a meeting with prospective clients in Nevada (huge state agency) our sales team couldn't make the projector work.

So I stalled for time by asking our clients about any personal UFO stories they had. An hour later, the projector was fixed, but people were still relating these INCREDIBLE personal experiences about weird UFO stuff they'd seen.
