@NMBA Canada has invested many millions in #Telesat. Unfortunately, it is years behind schedule and has contracted 14 launches with, wait for it, SpaceX.

@Mikal #Starlink was an issue in the provincial #Ontario election last week - @fordnation said he would tear up the $100M deal he signed last November when tariffs were announced but it was back on after a pause was announced. Tariffs are back on but the deal is also still on, apparently.
A Canadian alternative through #Telesat should be online next year.
