  1. @rafa_font Finland shows what real transparency looks like. Public tax records and very high earners paying their fair share builds trust and funds public services everyone relies on. Australia could learn a lot from this instead of secrecy carve outs and endless concessions for the wealthy. Standing ovation indeed.

  3. Not a peep from Australia's mainstream media! The Accountability and Corporate Transparency Coalition has praised the Australian government for passing world-leading tax transparency laws. These laws will require many large multinationals, including up to half of all major U.S. firms, to publicly report country-by-country tax and financial data for high-risk jurisdictions linked to profit shifting and tax avoidance. A big step forward for accountability!

  5. Presidential #TaxTransparency
    Joshua D. Blank

"Proponents of these measures argue that public disclosure of tax returns could expose conflicts of interest, reveal the President’s and candidates’ annual tax liability and tax rates, and, most importantly, enable the public to observe whether the President or candidates have engaged in tax evasion, pursued tax shelters and other tax avoidance, and participated in audits or #tax controversies with the IRS."
