  1. Now, today's big news for travelers to and around the Upper Silesia-Zagłębie metropolitan area (that's the huge blob of mining and industrial cities around Katowice) - starting today, PKP Intercity tickets between a station in the GZM area and one outside of it include 120 minutes before departure or after arrival (in case of delay, have the conductor endorse your ticket) of tram/bus/trolleybus rides on all ZTM lines at no extra charge!

Additionally, holders of ZTM season tickets are now entitled to travel on all PKPIC trains, including the commercial EIC and EIP categories, within their ticket's validity area, without having to get a seat reservation, even on trains that otherwise require one.
A free reservation still has to be obtained before the journey to take a bike, otherwise a 20 PLN fee is charged on board. As conductors are not equipped with local smart card readers, people using one are required to carry a paper confirmation of ticket purchase. (This part is unlikely to be relevant to most people reading this, but do use this as proof such integration can be done after all!)
