  1. My first #weaving project is coming along nicely, although I seem to have messed up the sett, since the reed spreads the warp a fair bit to the left and right of the actual fabric. Still, I'm enjoying it, and the fabric is turning out very well. I chose mercerized cotton for the warp and some cobweb-weight merino that I had no plans for for the weft.

  3. #Fiberuary -#texture: #weaving is the newest addition to my #fibercraft interests. This is the first project that I did on my 8 shaft #tableloom .

The yarn I used is a cotton-sock-yarn (wool-cotton-nylon blend). And because I'm adventerous I started with a complicated looking 4 shaft pattern. And because I'm really adventerous I choose a draft that I had to convert from treadle-tie-up to lift-plan. But it worked - and I love twill weaving.

  4. I'm getting close.

I got myself a table loom a few months ago. The first project was with some cotton-sock-yarn, that had some stretch. I used only 4 of the 8 shafts, the warp was a bit over 2 m (or so).

And then I got a bit cocky - 8 shafts, cottolin, 24 epi / 96 ends per 10 cm, 7 m warp, block twill. Dish towels.

Didn't go too well - I had to rebeam the whole warp, but now it works.
