The countdown starts to the annual #SwanageCarnival week holiday. My partners family have been meeting up in #Swanage for over 30 years and this year we'll have 3 under 3s to entertain. So given the summer so far I'd welcome any suggestions from the folk of #Studland, #Poole or #Bournemouth for things to do with young children on a wet day in #Dorset.

Keeled Skimmer #Dragonflies, seen on this date two years ago at #Studland Heath, #Dorset. The male has a pale blue abdomen with a thin black line (or keel) running down the middle. The female (second picture) has lovely greenish-yellow and brown hues, with a more obvious black keel. This is a species with a scattered distribution, with a preference for wet heathlands.
