  1. Spring can't be far off. I've just had the year's first email from Magpie Alert, telling me about a local swooping. So take care everyone. #straya

  5. I spent last week on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, and it really exceeded my expectations. Winter is supposed to be a good time to see wildlife and I was not disappointed. Among the many highlights was visiting a sea lion colony that is thought to house about 8% of the entire population of this endangered species. And since this is the Fediverse I should say that their reputation for making bad faith arguments in comment threads is totally undeserved. #wildlife #sealions #straya

  6. I’ve got a few ideas about how Kangaroo Island got its name #MacropodsOfMastodon #straya

  7. “Melbourne is a big city that somehow behaves like a village," said Anne Marie Lennon, general manager of the Crowne Plaza Carlton, who has worked across the UK, Ireland and Australia. "People here are genuinely curious about you. And then there's the culture, the food, the #music, the #fashion, the #art. Every suburb has its own vibe and identity."

Na, it’s crap, weather is off. Don’t bother 🤣☺️
