  5. 🔵 As Friday starts, the #nextGEMS #hackathon comes to an end. After five fruitful days of observations, programming, and modelling, the thematic groups shared their observations, analysis, challenges, and suggestions in the closing session. 🌐

    #MPI_Scientist Yanmichel Morfa @[email protected] et al. studied the horizontal and vertical kinetic energy spectra and their relationships in global #StormResolving simulations from the DYAMOND experiments. His findings highlight the role of #GravityWaves in defining the magnitude of mesoscale vertical motions in the #atmosphere.
