What if your model misses land’s hidden connections? Most models treat grid cells as isolated, but water, heat, and snow flow between them. Our new ICON-Land framework captures moisture, heat, snow via geometry-based rules. Results show strong impacts on soil temps and surface water. This improves Arctic feedbacks. Land isn’t a mosaic—it’s a network. And that network shapes the Arctic’s future.
