🇫🇷 Souvenirs d'une journée de #trainspotting il y a près de vingt ans à Beetebuerg (Bettembourg) et à Näerzeng (Noertzange) sur la ligne Lëtzebuerg (Luxembourg) - Esch-Uelzecht (Esch-sur-Alzette) - Peteng (Pétange).

Et en cadeau, une leçon de luxembourgeois. 😉

1. Une automotrice Z 2N NG de la SNCF sur un service TER Metrolor en route vers Thionville et Metz (ou Nancy) traverse la gare de Bettembourg.

2. A cette époque, les locomotives diesel GM série 18 (identiques aux HLD 55 de la SNCB/NMBS) assuraient encore de nombreux trains de marchandises. Ici, l'un d'eux au passage à Noertzange.

3. Toujours à Noertzange, une locomotive série 3000 des CFL (identiques aux HLE 13 de la SNCB/NMBS) également en tête d'un train de marchandises. Les 3000 ont disparu en début d'année de la scène ferroviaire et un voyage d'adieu est proposé le 23 juin prochain (Fête nationale).

4. Autre matériel qui a été retiré du service et a entamé une nouvelle carrière en Roumanie, les Z 2000 (quasi identiques aux Z 11500 de la SNCF) dont deux exemplaire ici assurent un train vers Athus en Belgique.

🇬🇧 A few photos of a day #trainspotting almost twenty years ago in Beetebuerg (Bettembourg) and Näerzeng (Noertzange) on the Lëtzebuerg (Luxembourg) - Esch-Uelzecht (Esch-sur-Alzette) - Peteng (Pétange) railway line.

And as a gift, a lesson of Luxembourgish. 😉

1. A SNCF Z 2N NG EMU operating a TER Metrolor service en route to Thionville and Metz (or Nancy) passing without stopping Bettembourg station.

2. At that time, The "GM" Class 18 diesel locomotives (identical to SNCB/NMBS HLD 55) still operated many freight trains. Here, one of them passing through Noertzange.

3. Also in Noertzange, a CFL Class 3000 electric locomotive (identical to SNCB/NMBS HLE 13) also at the head of a freight train. The Class 3000 disappeared from the railway scene at the start of the year and a farewell trip is proposed on June 23 (National Day).

4. Other equipment which was withdrawn from service and began a new career in Romania, the Z 2000 EMUs (almost identical to the SNCF Z 11500), with here two units forming a train to Athus in Belgium.

🇫🇷 Retour en juin 2000 et dans la gare de ma jeunesse pour la série ferroviaire. Le bâtiment de gare existe toujours mais abrite un centre de planning familial aujourd'hui. A l'époque, il y avait encore une petite cabine de signalisation, le block 20. Les quais ont été modernisés et un passage sous les voies a rendu le personnel inutile. Quand j'étais adolescent, il y avait un guichet et du personnel pour assurer la traversée en toute sécurité. Herstal est située sur la ligne 34 Liège - Tongeren - Hasselt.

🇬🇧 Back in June 2000 and in the railway station of my youth for this railway related photos. The station still exists but is no more used by the railway but is used by a Family Planning Center nowadays. In that time, there was also a small signal box, the Block 20. Platforms have been revamped and a corridor under the tracks was build. When I was a teenager, there was a ticket office and staff to secure the crossing of the tracks. Herstal is located on railway Line 34 Liège - Tongeren - Hasselt.

🇫🇷 En gare d'Arlon ce matin... Mercure accompagne les voyageurs. 🙂

Il y avait un petit rayon de soleil (timide) visible sur le reflet dans les vitres.

Matériel visible ici : voiture pilote I11 en tête d'une rame de voitures du même type + 1 voiture I10 avec compartiment vélo en queue, poussée par une locomotive série 13. La face avant de la voiture pilote est identique à celle de la machine.

Voiture pilote M6 en tête d'un segment de voitures M7 pour l'écolage du personnel. Certains trains de la série 21xx (Luxembourg - Bruxelles - Luxembourg) devraient être assuré en M7 à partir du changement d'horaires le 15 décembre prochain.

There was a small ray of sunlight visible on the reflection in the windows.

Visible here : DVT of I11 coaching stock with a rake of I11 cars + one I10 (with Bicycle space) at the end and is pushed by an electric locomotive class 13. The face of DVT is identical to the class 13 locomotive.

A DVT of M6 stock with a rake of M7 stock for staff schooling. Some trains of the Luxembourg - Brussels - Luxembourg InterCity service will be operated by M7 Stock from next timetable change on Dec. 15.
