🇫🇷 Une série "ferroviaire" fraîche du jour, il y en aura d'autres dans les prochains jours mais là, je suis un peu fatigué et demain, rendez-vous médical (de contrôle) à Arlon. Passez une bonne soirée.

Il y a une photo du métro bruxellois à la station Schuman d'où l'on aperçoit la voie 3 de la gare SNCB (section ouverte il y a quelques années qui rejoint la ligne 26 vers Bordet et la ligne 36 pour aller rejoindre l'aéroport. Les autres photos sont prises à Bruxelles-Nord.

A picture was taken in the underground station "Schuman" from which platform 3 of SNCB/NMBS Station is visible (this section has been open for several years already and joins near Bordet with Line 26 and 36 in order to reach the Airport. The other photos were taken in Brussels-North.

🇫🇷 Une série ferroviaire à Manchester-Piccadilly en avril 2001.

A l'exception d'un autorail class 158 et de la locomotive Class 87, le matériel présente des livrées British Rail malgré que l'entreprise publique n'existe plus depuis 1996. J'ai encore eu la chance de voir des autorails de première génération dans la belle livrée "Regional Railways".

Except a DMU Class 158 and the Electric Locomotive Class 87, most rolling stock still presented British Rail liveries although BR disappeared in 1996. I had the chance to see a first generation DMU class 101 in its nice Regional Railways livery.

🇫🇷 Bon, la fatigue se fait sentir alors je vais aller me glisser sous les couvertures et lire encore un peu. 🙂

Il y a un peu plus de six mois, je me suis inscrit ici sans trop savoir ce qui m'attendait et ce que j'attendais... n'ayant aucune expérience des réseaux sociaux.

Six mois, c'est la période d'essai en général pour un job (au rail c'est un an le stage), et je pense que je vais prolonger un peu voire passer en CDI. 😉

Merci à ceux qui apprécient ce que je publie et à ceux avec qui je parle de choses et d'autres.

En 2025, il y aura encore des photos actuelles et d'archives comme sur ces six derniers mois et encore d'autres articles de blog. Ecrire est une façon pour moi de fixer des souvenirs qui commencent à s'effilocher... c'est comme ça, la caboche est fourbe parfois! 😉

Passez une bonne fin de soirée et pour finir en beauté, une vue des festivités des 150 ans du rail à Arlon en octobre 2008... La 29013 fait partie de la série de machines à vapeur américaines que la SNCB a acquis après la seconde guerre mondiale, c'est une "Consolidation" avec sa disposition d'essieux en 1-4-0.

Alors, quoi que nous réserve 2025, allons-y à toute vapeur! Mes meilleurs vœux à tou.te.s!

🇬🇧 Well, I'm bit tired now, so I'm going to slip under the covers and read a little bit. 🙂

Six months ago, I signed up here without really knowing what was waiting for me and what I was waiting for... as I didn't have any experience of social medias.

Six months is usually the trial period for a job (by the railways the stage lasts for a whole year), and I think I'm going to extend it a little or even switch to a permanent contract. 😉

Thank you to those who appreciate what I post and to those with whom I talk about things and others.

In 2025, there will still be actual and archive photos just like I did until now.

I'll continue to post to my blog as writing is a way for me to fix memories... my brain plays funny sometimes... that's life! 😉

A last picture for this year with a night photo of the Steam locomotive 29013 in Arlon in October 2008 during the celebrations of 150 years of railways in Arlon. This steam locomotive is an american built after WWII and is called "consolidation" as the wheel arrangement is 1-4-0.

So,whatever 2025 will bring us, let's go full steam ahead! My best wishes to all!

🇫🇷 Suite de l'exploration des archives photos des chemins de fer néerlandais... Lors de ma visite de l'atelier central de Haarlem (près d'Amsterdam) en décembre 2001, j'avais pu voir une parie de l'automotrice "Blokkendoos" ou Mat '24 en cours de restauration. Intérieur bois, peut-être dur pour le postérieur mais raffiné et chaleureux quand-même. 🙂

🇬🇧 Continuing the exploration of my Dutch Railways' photo archives... During my visit to the central workshop in Haarlem (near Amsterdam) in December 2001, I was able to see a part of the "Blokkendoos" or Mat '24 EMU being restored. Wooden interior, perhaps hard for the rear but anyway fine and warm. 🙂

🇫🇷 Cette machine vous en rappelle une autre? Ce n'est pas étonnant, la série 13 des NS est directement dérivée d'une machine française, la 7100 de SNCF. 🙂 En 2001, on pouvait encore en voir de temps à autres... comme ici à Den Haag Centraal.

🇫🇷 Le nez fourré dans mes archives photos argentiques, j'ai retrouvé quelques photos qui ont déjà près de 25 ans... Comme je n'ai pas trop noté les endroits, la mémoire interne de mon cerveau a chauffé et la recherche par image m'a un peu aidé! Voici ce qui était à l'époque le train omnibus standard aux Pays-Bas, les automotrices plan T (4 voitures) et plan V (2 voitures). Bonne soirée!

🇬🇧 I was exploring my photo archives and I found back photos which are almost 25 years old... As I did not wrote all the details, it wasn't easy to find the places... My brain has worked a lot to remember and with the help of picture search I could find it all! The Dutch Railways had a "standard Stopping services" EMU known as Plan T (4-car) and Plan V (2-Car).
