The bowl-and-doily spider (Frontinella pyramitela) has grown quite a bit in the past week and a half. She's still quite small, but probably adult size now at around 3-4mm.
This morning I was out early enough to catch her resting adjacent to her web. You can see she has two back legs resting on strands of silk connected back to the bowl of the web, which I'm guessing allows her to still be aware of any prey that becomes entangled.

Spider babies!
Another spider baby, this time a tiny orbweaver (I think arabesque orbweaver), approximately 1.5mm in length.

Bowl and doily spider (Frontinella pyramitela)
A small spider with a distinctive sheet web that includes a "bowl" shaped web suspended over a straight "doily" sheet web. The spiders hang in the middle - this one, not yet fully grown and only a few millimeters long, was photographed through the surrounding web. This is the first time I've found this spider in our yard, a lovely find this afternoon!

Spider babies!
This is a wee bold jumping spider (Phiddipus audax) and one of our most common jumping spiders. Only a few millimeters in length, it had caught a juicy springtail snack among the leaves of a chestnut sapling.
