Hi! It's been a while, so I thought it would be time to post a new #introduction.

I'm Michael. I love staring at #birds, animals, and trees and stuff. I play way too many #boardgames and #videogames. I read #Books from time to time. Lately I've been into #SoloRoleplaying games. I plan on sharing my thoughts on all these subjects in the days to come.

The #Killteam Kroot kinband and #BlackstoneFortress traitor guardsmen are build and just need detailing and some base work. Working on Psykers, Fellgor, Negavolt, and Ratlings. Need to decide a colour scheme to make each a little unique so they are easy to differentiate on the battlefield. #minipainting #warhammer40k #SoloRoleplaying Also wondering how to kitbash the extra zealot.

Progress on #MiniPainting (between sessions in Linux and physio exercises). Finally have all my pretty birds (alien Kroot murder-dino-birds) from #Warhammer40k #Killteam Into the Dark assembled and mostly painted. Maybe they’ll be done before they’re two editions out of date, not just one. Won’t matter for heresy though. Doesn’t matter for #SoloRoleplaying and #OnePageRules

Decided to kitbash one of these #warhammer40k Blooded from Blackstone Fortress and give him a plasma (?) rifle and more/bigger spikes left over from building the Blooded in the #DarkTide game. Began experimental migration of my mostly #SoloRolePlaying Blogger content to static pages using Hugo and my goodness what a PITA. But I'm going to #DeGoogle and get situated on a Canadian host. Working from my home LAN's NAS webserver until I get the content updated and the structure rebuilt. No migration tool I tried kept my links intact.

My copy of #ShadowDark arrived! At first glance, it looks like it answers a lot of my issues I've had with other #osr games. And the book is gorgeous and played out beautifully! Can't wait to roll up a character or two and see what happens!

My copy of Star Trek: Captain's Log arrived. It looks like fun! I don't necessarily need another solo ttrpg to play, but I couldn't resist this particular game. Writing little captain's logs sounds like a perfect use of an afternoon or two.

Lost for any #paintingminis inspiration staring at this #reapermini Ape Demon for a few years now but took a break from career devt tonight and the scheme came to me as a bit of catharsis I didn’t know I needed for one of the first demonic hordes I struggled against early in my professional career. Now, just have to find a justification to destroy this guy in a #SoloRoleplaying adventure.

I’m curious to know if anyone in the #minipainting sphere can help me identify these wee army men with a very colonial marines aesthetic. Pewter from mid to late 90s if memory serves which it rarely does. I’m thinking they were in an unbranded bag in a bargain bin. Airdry clay base on right front took a whack and crumbled. Also are some larger monsters finally getting attention after waiting since 2020 when I went all in on #SoloRoleplaying

Grabbed some #odnd sources lately. White Box (FMAG) in print, and #swordsandwizardry in pdf. I was not a gamer Back in the Day, but I'm loving the simplicity and pure fun, along with low fantasy adventure that these promise. Looking forward to #soloroleplaying with them or maybe even joining or dm'ing a group. Hit me up with resources! I've dm'ed 3.5e, 5e, and Shadowdark. Also looking for #sandbox tips.

They could corrupt an officer with access to a submarine, but had to leave him behind while stealing it, just to accidentally sink their own ship while trying to set an example by blowing up a city.
