Shinned up a hill over the river from our campsite near Sofala, NSW and snapped a picky. Lovely spot.
K is on the beach below, and our motorhome is hidden behind a tree on the right.

Sunday's Weather:
It’s going to be sunny. You'll live. Expect a high of 21°C, which is just warm enough to make you regret wearing a jumper but cool enough to make you look like an idiot in a singlet. The UV index is sitting at a 7, so maybe put some bloody sunscreen on.
There is a 0% chance of rain during the day. So no, the sky isn't going to wash away your bad ideas or water your dying lawn. You’ll have to deal with the dust and the blinding light like the rest of us.
Once the sun finally pisses off, it’ll turn mostly cloudy. The temp is going to drop to a crisp 6°C. If you’re planning on being out late, take a jacket, or find someone to huddle against. Though, let’s be honest, your options are probably limited. Take the jacket.
You'll have a "breeze" coming from the east at a staggering 5 kph. It’s basically the equivalent of someone breathing lightly on the back of your neck. Not enough to blow your regrets away, sorry.
The next day will be sunny again. Ugh.

Sitting quietly by the Turon River, which is flowing — albeit slowly — for the first time in many years at Sofala, NSW.
Lots of parrots of various types, some ducks, and a lyre bird who likes to imitate kookaburras, curruwongs, whip birds, magpies, butcher birds, and others.

Spent a wonderful fay today exploring recent work on the #archaeology of #EastAfrica, especially the #Swahili coast. But in the middle of it there was a moment in which we agreed that this little fellow from the cemetery #Mapongubwe should have a walk on part when discussing medieval gold production around the #Limpopo river that may have passed through #Sofala. He even has his tail on full alert and all that beauty fits onto a flat hand. He may be small, but he is all fierce #rhinoceros.
