Friends of #SlowSanchez are holding a Happy Hour on April 3rd from 5-6pm at Noe Cafe. SFMTA representatives will be there to discuss recently approved changes coming to Slow Sanchez.

Sanchez Next-Gen Slow Street Project headed to public hearing

We have worked with the community to develop a suite of upgrades for the Sanchez Slow Street to build on its success with more permanent, attractive, and easier-to-maintain elements at intersections, including concrete bulb islands at some block entries, painted safety zones, and daylighting.

The SFMTA also received a Bloomberg Asphalt Art Initiative grant to support street mural installations on Sanchez Street in collaboration with the San Francisco Parks Alliance. This project represents a fantastic opportunity to infuse the Sanchez Slow Street with local flair and community-driven art.

#SlowSanchez is such a treasure. One of the few Slow Streets that really got the respect it deserves and the result is vibrant street that neighbors love. I feel so lucky to live close to here and I’m bummed the city didn’t put the same effort into other Slow Streets in the neighborhood (like Slow 20th). They could have been amazing.

A laid-back morning on #SlowSanchez. I saw some spilled paint nearby, so now I’m going to try to make a #SidewalkFriends sketch out of it while enjoying some coffee at La Lucha.

I love this constantly changing diorama at 28th and #SlowSanchez in #SanFrancisco. I just noticed the new #BurningMan addition to the theme for the week.

@lmc this morning was terrible in our hood too. Cars refused to let me safely cross at Church and 29th (a 4 way stop with a crosswalk), they roll through stop signs in the area, and they rip down #SlowSanchez like it was their own personal highway. I certainly wish these drivers would car pool, or bike, or take the J line (which stops right in front of the school).

Another sunny day in SF. I’m in the shade at Noe Cafe’s beautiful parklet on #SlowSanchez. Enjoying a caprese sandwich (tomato, basil, mozzarella) and drawing a comic about Nicholas Cage stealing the four freedoms of open source.

Some very aggressive and very angry drivers mixing it up with pedestrians on an otherwise nice day on #SlowSanchez. The pictured food delivery driver not only yelled at everyone but ran most stop signs. Tried to talk to him but he’s unhinged. #NoeValley #sanfrancisco
