No day without a #littlefreelibrary ❣️📚🇫🇷 and Good Morning to all Skybies ❣️☕

I need more exercise to recover from an accident more quickly. My previous walking record was a lengthy trip with some friends through a super Walmart.
To do something that would make me walk more then my previous record, I dropped some books I don't want at a nearby Little Free Library. About 3 blocks out, 3 blocks to return. Now I'm sweaty and hurting, but it should help.
I've never left anything at one of these before, nor have I taken anything. No hardcore in there. 🤣

It's time for the #Writephant weekly writer chat!
I'm your host today!
Theme/Topic: Today's theme is Little Free Libraries (LFL)! Those shared bookshelves and boxes you can find in many places - even if they aren't a part of the "official" LFL network.
But first, introduce yourself, and tell us how you're doing today. What's bringing you joy right now?

I'm super late for my biannual re-#introduction post... Whoops! 😅
Anyway, I'm slanderoid. I'm just some guy from a tiny #rural village in Midwest, USA. I came to #Mastodon after #Twitter turned into a medical waste dumpster fire back in 2022. I'm turning 40 in a week and I feel weird about it :kirbysweat:
I'm a #geek. (Or a #nerd, I'm not sure which.) I love #horror of all kinds. I used to play a lot of #VideoGames but not so much, lately. I'm more into #movies and #music at the moment. I love #books and I can often be found #reading something. My wife and I run a big #LittleFreeLibrary from our front lawn. We've got some big plans for it next year!
I recently launched a website full of my #writing over at https://notaherostory.com. #NotAHeroStory has been my dream for many years and it's cool that, after some hard work, time, and dedication, it finally exists! If you're into #fantasy, #comedy, #LitRPG, or #beer, you should check it out. It's 94% free!
If you're new here, welcome! 😄

from the #Oxford community group on fb:
For those living in Temple Cowley/Hollow Way area, there is a new #LittleFreeLibrary on Fern Hill Road, near the shop. (What3words: busy. vets. rescue).
We currently have lots of adult and children's books, so please come and look. Feel free to take a book or bring a book to share with the community. -
Bücherbox in Burgtiefe, eben entdeckt. Toll. Hier die #LittleFreeLibrary Nummer 64041, die früher mal eine Kaninchenbox war. Also nicht nur was zum Lesen sondern auch Upcycling!

nice #littlefreelibrary ™️ find today. a copy of "best of temp slave", which included a healthy sampling from the #zine of the same name from the early 90s.
reading some of it made me realize how "the gig economy" is really just the latest iteration of the labor exploitation the zine/punk/alt scene was warning us about back then.

Good morning Skybies, Moin leeve Himmelskinners, Bon día a todos ❣️☕📚
Our #littlefreelibrary is overfloated with books, so I start a little tour around our Isle to take a bag of books to other little libraries in the outskirts of my hometown. This new library is very cute, cause ... 🧵 -

Dropped a handful of books at a local #littleFreeLibrary - somehow Kropotkin's Mutual Aid and Bob Black's Abolition of Work feel like good books to circulate!
