While working on this piece, I tried refining a new style that was inspired by carving out linotype. Rather than using consistent lines, I tried to give the lines a more etched, or “hand cut”, look.

While working on this #SidewalkFriends sketch, I tried experimenting a slight change to my style. I focused on creating very jagged looking outlines, rather than the usual smooth line I use.

Been a while since I drew a new #SidewalkFriends sketch. At least two months.

Not sure if it’s obvious, but I’ve barely posted any digital art or yo-yo videos lately. I can barely explain it, but I feel like seeing so many ai-generated images every time I go online has really sucked the joy out of working digitally. So I’ve dug out old pens and sketchbooks and have been drawing offline.
I really enjoyed working digitally (on #SidewalkFriends sketches, music production, making videos, etc) and hope to find that joy again, even if I’m not posting the results online.
