Walczą, padają i nie mogą zawrócić, gdyż baty pędzą ich naprzód, a wszystko, co znają, to te baty. Zabijaj albo giń. Ciemność przed nimi, ciemność za nimi i baty w głowach. Ale gdyby można było zdjąć z planszy jeden pionek, zabrać go, nim pozna baty, przenieść do miejsca bez batów... czym mógłby się stać? Jedno stworzenie. Jedna samotna istota. Czy odmówi im pan tej szansy?
– W zeszłym tygodniu kazał pan powiesić trzech ludzi – przypomniał Ridcully, nie całkiem wiedząc dlaczego.
– Oni mieli szansę. Wykorzystali ją, by zabijać albo i gorzej. Wszystko, na co możemy liczyć, to szansa. Nie dostajemy błogosławieństwa. On był przez siedem lat przykuty do kowadła. Powinien dostać swoją szansę, nie sądzi pan?

Guess I'll have to start Monday on an insufficient amount of caffeine: My store had no Club Mate. Instead, someone put some bottles of Ginger Beer in the slot so it isn't empty. 🤬
