In recent years wildfires have threatened various Shin temples. The Lahiana temple was destroyed, the Pasadena temple was damaged. Thankfully, the Spokane temple is currently safe. If you want to help those in Washington who have been affected, you can start here https://my.spokanecity.org/donate/

“#AI can imitate intelligence, but it cannot awaken and become enlightened. It can generate words about compassion, but it cannot truly feel compassion. It can explain the Nembutsu, but it cannot say ‘Namo Amida Butsu’ with gratitude arising from human suffering, joy, loss and impermanence. That remains the human encounter.” #Buddhism #ShinBuddhism #JodoShinshu #Technology #Dharma #Religion #Spirituality
