Worse, when I “pre-format” a PDF otherwised paper size and offer it as Data to ShareLink, I can "Save to Files" but “Print” does not work.

So if someone would enlighten me otherwise, I conclude ShareLink is NOT a replacement for UIActivityViewController despite Apple advertising it as such.

I'm finding that iOS 16's ShareLink API is apparently converting my PNGs with transparency to JPEG.

Is there a way to preserve the image's transparency when using #ShareLink?

My images are PNGs that I’ve added locally to the Asset Catalog in the Xcode project.

@MuseumShuffle the answer is yes, it’s possible. We do it in #Ambre when sharing a recipe for example. On tap we upload the recipe to the public CloudKit zone, then share the associated URL using #ShareLink
