NWS Wakefield boffins expect another typical early fall (Sep, Oct, Nov) fall day. A meteorological stoppage is holding Canadian cold air to our north. This ridge is likely to move on early next week per Ryan Hall.
Anyway, our weather hazard map is clear except for beach hazards and small craft cautions.
Outside the area, thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected from the Texas panhandle to the Ohio River Valley. The heat remains on in the heart of Texas.

From Ryan Hall Y’all on FB: The break is coming. Here is how far south it gets.
Chicago, Minneapolis and the Northeast are already out of the 90s.
Kansas City drops out Friday. Wichita, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Cincinnati and Indianapolis Saturday.
Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta and Dallas are still 90 or hotter on Sunday.
For the South, this is not the week.

Your Friday Dismal Manor Foreast summary is for continued #HHH with increasing #FUGLY. Friday’s weather hazard map is clear.
But isolated supper time thunderstorms are possible.
Locally, severe storms are not expected but scattered thunderstorms, some severe, are possible in Foggy Bottom and points north.
Expect fair winds and following seas on the Chesapeake Bay except where thunderstorms are present. Scattered severe storms are possible on the northern Bay.

Your Monday morning Nasty or Nice outlook promises somewhat nice weather to much of the country (the blue parts). Texas, parts of Big Sky, and the southwestern prairie join the southeastern east coast in gloom and rain.
Excessive rainfall is possible in the Sonoran Desert, in Big Sky, and along the east coast.
Hazardous heat continues in the southwest desert region. #FUGLY holds sway in the yellow areas of the heat map (4).
-
The heat remains on though not featured in Monday’s forecasts. Deep South and Great Plains are in the oven Monday.
And the drought remains on although the rain is chipping away at it in the Northeast. Southeast and Deep South and west of the Continental Divide remain in deficit.
-
Monday’s Nasty or Nice outlook definitely leans to the nasty side of things as the #FUGLY holds sway along a stalled front menacing the Virginia/Carolina border area.
At national scale the much of the country has conditions for thunderstorm development.
Severe storms are possible in the Carolina’s Low Country and the western Great Lakes.
The Gulf Coast tropical miasma is expected to make the grade later today and will be named Bertha.
-
Thursday’s nasty or nice outlook. Drought continues over most of the country.
Unpleasant heat and thunderstorms are possible over much of the US.
Excessive rainfall is possible from Foggy Bottom westward to the Missouri River.
Much of the country will have conditionally nice weather except during scattered thunderstorms. But the Deep South and southeast coast will have #FUGLY heat and humidity with a side order of hazy sun.
