@rickscully Probably worth the trip, and maybe a better location to keep it somewhat affordable. No doubt the hotel reservation pricing has been rather elevated for a long time.
The downside there this week will be the heat I think. Sounds like it's pretty hot!

Went out this evening for a cooling tootle along the coast (someone had spotted dolphins too, but we missed them). It was around 20.30 and the car said 28 degrees! #Scorchio (for me at any rate.)
Not looking forward to trying to sleep tonight.

2/2 Hello World!
It's #Finland updating, because the toot above went sort of viral.
Yesterday there was a new #temperature record for this summer in Oulu, in the north Finland, 32,6 °C.
The number of days with over 30 °C is now 20, and will grow at least to 22, because the #HeatWave continues in most of the country.
Here in the south coast where I am, it has started to ease. It's 10.30 AM and 23 °C, not 28 as it has been for weeks, PHEW!.

It's Finland calling!
Here, up in the North, you know, #Lapland, #ArcticCircle, reindeers, Santa Claus etc.
For the 3rd week, this is how the #weather is like in here. The #heat limit here is 25 °C.
Today yet another record was broken - it has been 19 days that the #temperature has been above 30 °C somewhere in #Finland. And tomorrow it'll be 20 since this map is for tomorrow afternoon.
Think #ClimateChange isn't real?
Well, think again.

Just got a text from the garage saying my car is ready to be picked up. This is unfortunate timing, because I have a delicious pint of ale and am sitting right under a pub’s air conditioner which is set to Shivering°C and I really don’t fancy going outside and suffering the sauna that every bus will be. #scorchio #gravy
