Get rid of Meta.
Throw away Facebook, Instagram, Thread, Messenger and WhatsApp.
Users cannot trust these softwares own by fascists.
Overall with the new “localhost tracking” technique using both Meta Pixel, mobile apps and WebRTC making VPN or browsers incognito mode useless.

Acompanho desde meados do ano 2020 o desenvolvimento do /e/os, uma ROM construída a partir do AOSP e do #lineageos . Actualmente uso um Murena Fairphone 4.

What a shame, what a disappointment.
Seeing Apple once again submit to a government is extremely worrying. Their pretty speeches and beautiful values have fallen, like the confidence we had. New proof that neither companies nor states can be trusted.

Any ideas for end-to-end encrypted cloud storage alternatives here?

My phone is a Fairphone 4 with @e_mydata (deggogled android from @murena).
My e-ink notebook is now a Ratta Supernote.
And after waiting a long time (and fighting my IT department), my laptop is finally a @frameworkcomputer.
All brands dedicated to the right to repair and upgrade.

And all of this connected through privacy-respecting cloud services.

Slowly and very happily moving towards more sustainable and ethical electronics.

Nearly a month has gone by and Murena still hasn't responded to a support ticket regarding issues with the App Lounge. The update to 2.0 seems to have fixed that issue but I'm having issues with a few apps. I've had the phone for 3 or 4 months now and still haven't felt comfortable switching over to it full time. eOS has a lot of promise but they are drastically over selling its capabilities and don't seem to want to respond to customers. I'm considering putting LineageOS on it..... It'll void my warranty but what good is a warranty if you can't even get a response on a support ticket?

The hardware of the FP4 is pretty great from what I've been able to tell. Feels very solid and the screen looks incredible.

Im Jahr 2024 ist es nicht möglich, meine Daten von GOOGLE MAPS oder meine NOTIZEN von einer App in eine andere umzuziehen, mitzunehmen!

Das sind komplett geschlossene Systeme und sie sind mitunter kaufentscheidend.

Technisch gibt es keinen triftigen Grund, Daten nicht per Im- und Export mitnehmen zu können. Die großen Konzerne blockieren, um ihre Insellösung zu schützen und künstlich ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal zu schaffen. #eu #europe
