Oh wow 😮, quite surprising news about new cross-border services 🇸🇮🇭🇷 from mid-June:

New train pair 430-431#Ljubljana 🇸🇮 <> #Zagreb 🇭🇷, on Fridays to Zagreb, on Sundays back.

Direct train pair 1472-1475 between #Zagreb and #Pula 🇭🇷 via Ljubljana 🇸🇮, on Fri to Pula, on Sun back.

Additional seasonal train pairs between #Divača 🇸🇮 and #Buzet/Pula 🇭🇷 as well as one between #Postojna 🇸🇮 and #Šapjane 🇭🇷 with connection to #Rijeka.

🇸🇮🛤🇭🇷 This is the #CrossBorderRail edition of my trip with train №481 "Opatija" from #Ljubljana🇸🇮 to #Rijeka🇭🇷.

Since the beginning of 2023 #Croatia🇭🇷 is part of the #Schengen treaty which means a.o. no border checks in #IlirskaBistrica🇸🇮 and #Šapjane🇭🇷. There are only two trains per day crossing the border - which runs through the 399m long "Malo Brdo" tunnel🚇 - of these two European Union🇪🇺 countries! @jon
