If you want to watch a terrifying and insightful crime drama then I'd recommend 'Hidden' on S4C player (may also appear on BBC 4).
It concentrates on the 'why' of horrific crimes (abduction & rape) not the 'who'.
It gave me the heebie-jeebies!It is partly in Welsh but the subtitles are very good.

Has anyone seen LingoPie? You can learn languages by watching tv with subtitles and hovering over the subtitles shows the translation.
Obviously this costs money because capitalism but there is a massive opportunity out there for people encouraging use of languages outside their population centre.
S4C, for example, has both Welsh and English subtitles for everything so with a bit of will and clever coding we could have the Welsh version of this for free :)
