More #RSD23 stuff. These albums are on the USA list but not the Ireland & UK list. The Sparks ones are listed as “RSD First” which mean a regular release should follow, but I would buy that Tom Tom Club straight away if it was in shops over here. Todd is splatter vinyl, but arguably at 55 minutes long it should never have been a single album but rather spread across 3 or 4 sides.

The ultimate compilation of 1960s garage rock, compiled in the 1970s, and reincarnated as a 1990s box set (when the CDs used to get individual jewel cases). I think I need to listen to all 8 CDs in full again to see if I should consider the #RSD23 release! -

Fantasy box set: how much will this 5LP Nuggets set cost? Looks lovely.
I have the 4 CD box from 1998 which takes the original album (CD1) and adds three more CDs. The #RSD set is the original album, an unreleased second album and another record of possible choices. Not sure of the overlap with the CD set. As a side point: The Nuggets 2 set needs a vinyl release - #RSD24 maybe? #RSD23 (6/6…for now)

These are two I’m looking forward to: Mike Oldfield is the Tubular Bells demo which has come out on CD, but look at that sleeve. Looks great.
And the full Catherine Wheel from David Byrne - I’ve never owned this - a bit of an oversight as a fan.
In the category of “albums I know nothing about but I quite like the look of” there’s this psychedelic album from Hal Blaine, and The Baker-Gurvitz Army. Baker is Ginger Baker, and Gurvitz is Adrian “Gonna write a classic” Gurvitz.

Elton & Billy…
Elton’s Don’t Shoot Me… comes out as a 2LP release with bonus tracks. This is unusual because Honky Chateau is about to get a standard 2CD reissue while Don’t Shoot Me…, which should be the next in the series, is an RSD release? Maybe the 2CD is it follow?
Billy Joel’s back catalogue is a mismanaged mess. Instead of this gig being part of a deluxe Streetlife Serenade reissue, it’s here on its own. So odd. #RSD23
