  1. Today I had a great experience using the Raspberry Pi Imager utility (github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-ima)!
    For anybody setting up or refreshing a Raspberry Pi, it does a seamless job by also downloading the image (*.iso) and even allows for common preconfiguration such as setting up SSH access or adding a user.

    I also learned the hard way that it's not wise to do an OS upgrade in parallel with a Kernel upgrade...

  6. If you try to use rpi-imager e.g. on Ubuntu 20.04, don't install it via snap. It fails to write to my SD card, but can erase it. Starting it with sudo fails because of some Qt GUI reason. Download the .deb file and simply run it with `sudo rpi-imager`, that works for me.
