  1. OK, desoldering worth it's work. Apart from the one broken conductor line on IC 2, I was also able to discover a broken 7400N and a defective 74107N with the incredibly practical #RCT. This is one of the most useful tools in my equipment. Two other identical types were tested as good. And as it must be, I haven't any replacement in the moment. But it is ordered.

  6. Just brought my #RetroChipTester back to life. Flashing the new firmware version 0.27 with a USBAsp went so wrong. After that, the device was simply dead. But that's what it said in the manual, it can work but usually doesn't.
    It just came back to life with a €20 ISP programmer from diamex.

  11. Tomorrow the #RetroChipTester #RCT will have it's first bigger mission. I'll check the TTLs and RAMs of our #IMSAI8080 clone. But I'm afraid it's the processor at the end, because the address bus behaves strangely in SingleStep mode.

  31. As practical as the digikey delivery is sorted in the individual bags, it is very tiring to separate the parts from it. Especially if you ordered for two persons. I've finished sorting the parts for the #RCT #RetroChipTester and think I'll get to some soldering this weekend.
