At this point, I've done enough textures on the dergotoy base that I can make entire portfolio scenes with mostly that model.
Safe to say I'm fairly competent in substance painter by now. -

I just added like 50 free to use #avatars to the #Resonite #wiki that are setup for use. No import needed.
Some of them seem to be MVP setups but better to have them than not. https://wiki.resonite.com/Resonite_ready_avatar_bases -

One of the nice things about #Linux is you can just leave it open on a terminal when you walk away and all the plebs think you must be doing some important hacker shit and waiting for it to process but really you're just idling in #Resonite while you go eat muffins in the closet with the Bluetooth headset on.

Thanks to everyone that has played my #MMC entry already. If you haven't: find atleast 3 others and give it a try: https://go.resonite.com/world/U-1Zj0VcAjHIe/R-61de75db-ef73-4be8-bd2a-712010ea0c83
It has genuinely been a blast to play with everyone. I will 100% expand on it after MMC.

Day 5 of #MMC.
Now generating Cards from the wordlist. Had to do some more work on the Excel file to add indices but this works well.

Day 2 of #MMC.
I am now able to generate Cards, put them on a stack, move them to holders and flip them. All with some nice Animations.

I had a bit too much fun on @crownedhaley.com's #Resonite stream yesterday. The pooltoyifier I made works way too well.

It's the new year with new fashions and interests! And I need YOUR help!
If you buy things for #VRChat, #Resonite, or 3D #vtubing, I want to hear from you! I'm taking a survey for the types of clothes, accessories, and avatars YOU would like to see.
(There's even a coupon in it for you!)
It'll just take a few minutes of your time, but it will help me figure out what to prioritize for the next year.
Thank you! 💙

I think we're seeing the final major iterations of #VirtualReality Controllers, and #VR #technology is about to hit that maturity point where there isn't much else to do beyond making what's there better.
Unless someone comes up with a groundbreaking new way to do input with them, #VRControllers will condense to buttons / sticks that you attach to your hands (either literally just half a #gamepad on a strap or harnesses for your fingers that push back) and cameras on the headset and in the room do #FingerTracking, #FullbodyTracking, and #FaceTracking. In other words, the designs where you actually hold controllers or attach extensive trackers to your body are kind of dead, aside from maybe #SlimeVR being marketed for a while longer as a way to improve that tracking and compensate for occlusion issues.
After that, attaching stuff to your body will be all about #haptic feedback, like a #HapticVest or a #gigglepuck.
The rest will be #software for #VRExperiences like #Resonite and #VRChat.

@Orb 2069 No, I haven't, and it doesn't really look interesting to me.
Resonite uses monolithic avatars which you have to create with an external third-party tool like Ready Player Me and then import into the world. This is pretty common amongst new virtual worlds because it saves the world developers both the effort of building an engine for modular avatars, the effort of creating at least some basic avatar content and the effort of making it all work together smoothly.
For one, I myself vastly prefer building my avatars by piecing them together from content already available in-world and reshaping them with in-world parameters. One advantage is that I don't have to go through the entire hassle of importing yet another avatar just to change something about my outfit.
Besides, in order to have long hair and/or skirts as described, Resonite would require glTF avatar objects with extra skeleton parts in the hair/the skirt and with physics for only the hair/the skirt. And it would require collision detection within the same 3-D object, i.e. checking whether one "floppy" physical region of the object collides with a non-physical region of the very same object.
Sansar and High Fidelity were designed for modular avatars like their common predecessor, Second Life. The body is one object attached to the avatar. The long hair is another object attached to the avatar. The skirt is yet another object attached to the avatar.
I guess the long-term goal was to establish avatars that are at least as highly modular and configurable in-world as Second Life/OpenSim avatars.
