Announcements Regarding the Linux Resonite Meetup
Hello Fediverse! I hope everyone is having a lovely start this year!
January snows outside aside, I am here to announce that there will be some changes made to the Linux Resonite Meetup!
First of all, the day for the Linux Resonite Meetup will change from Friday to Sunday! This decision was made because there were comments about how a lot of the users, especially in Europe, were still working when the meetup was happening on Friday. I have also adjusted the starting time one hour early so that the event organizer won't have to be awake till 1am in Japan Standard Time.
Secondly, we now have a new Monday Linux Resonite Meetup! The new meetup will be on Monday 2300 UTC to 2400 UTC and will cater to American daytime users who has weekend jobs and cannot show up to any of the Saturday and Sunday Meetups, as well as European nightowl users and Japanese earlybird users.
Here is a chart that outlines the old and the new meetup times:
Before:

Fri. 1500 UTC - 1600 UTC （Fri. 2400 - 2500 JST）
Now:
Sunday Linux Resonite Meetup!
Sun. 1400 UTC - 1500 UTC （Sun. 2300 - 2400 JST）

Mon. 2300 UTC - 2400 UTC （Mon. 1500 - 1600 PST）
I have made these changes today on January 23rd of 2026 in good faith for the Linux community and I believe that this is a good schedule for the majority of current and future attendees at the Linux Resonite Meetups as of today.
And if you haven't had the chance to play Resonite, you should! Resonite works on Linux and they are about to get really fun with the upcoming #mmc-2026 event next month!

Linux Resonite集会に関するお知らせ
Fediverseのみなさん、あけましておめでとうございます！今年もどうぞよろしくおねがいします！
一月が終わるのに春の気配が全くしませんね。それはさておき、今週からLinux Resonite集会のスケジュールが変動します。
まず、Linux Resonite集会の開催曜日が金曜日から日曜日になります！この決定は、金曜日の集会が開催される時間帯に、特にヨーロッパの多くのユーザーがまだ仕事中であるという意見があったためです。また、日本標準時で25時までのイベントは厳しいという意見もありましたので、開始時間を1時間早めました。
次に、1/27(火)から新たなLinux Resonite集会が開催されます！こちらは火曜 08:00 JST から09:00 JST の間に開催され、週末に仕事があって土日のミートアップに参加できないアメリカの日中のユーザーや、ヨーロッパの夜更かしユーザー、そして日本の早起きユーザーを対象としています。
こちらが新旧の集会時刻を示した表です：
変更前：

毎週金曜 24:00 - 25:00 JST
変更後：
Sunday Linux Resonite Meetup!
毎週日曜 23:00 - 24:00 JST

これらの変更は、本日2026年1月24日に、Linuxコミュニティのために誠意をもって行いました。これが、現時点でのLinux Resonite集会の現在および将来の参加者の大多数にとって良いスケジュールであると信じています。
そして、まだResoniteをプレイしたことがないなら、ぜひプレイしてみてください！ResoniteはLinuxで動作しますし、来月開催される#mmc-2026 イベントで、これからもっと楽しくなりますよ！
