  1. Proud to be on this publication in GCA by Barbora Krizova et al. We show #clumped #isotope reordering in #Cretaceous rudist bivalves is location-specific. Understanding burial history is essential for selecting shell material for #paleoclimate #reconstructions. sciencedirect.com/science/arti

  2. Glad I finally found some time to read this study on sampling and time resolution of accretionary #climate #records. So much insight in this: from testing #dating and sampling methods to reconstructing original #environmental #changes from smoothed #reconstructions.

  3. Enjoyed reading about this nice study @Palaeo3 about the relationship between Li/Ca ratios in #brachiopods and #temperature. The #dataset looks very robust and the empirical relationship highly promising for #paleoclimate #reconstructions!

  4. ICYMI: Dirt is relative. I am not talking about how clean your flat is, but what is defined as dirty or out-of-placeness. Bringing the philosophical theory by Mary Douglas to the world of 3D #Reconstructions, we can think about the reconstructed dirt as well...

  5. 🔥 #Paleofire & #paleoecology #workshop opportunity at the University of #Göttingen, Germany! 🌲

Join this workshop on "Long-term fire-vegetation change: data-based challenges", on-site or online, from February 13-17 for discussions on the current state of fire-vegetation #reconstructions, #FAIR data, and the inclusion of the Global Paleofire #Database #charcoal records into #Neotoma!

  6. Here's my #introduction to all you ... Tooters. I'm a refugee from the Tech world, who took early retirement, which enabled me to return to my first love: #archaeology. Specifically, Roman history and archaeology (love the Greeks, Egyptians and Assyrians, too!).

I started getting tired of asking why there weren't any good #reconstructions of ancient polychrome sculpture, so I decided to create them myself. A continuing process, always learning. #polychromy
