Enjoyed spending an hour or two over the past few evenings configuring my #RaspberryPi3B+ as a Pi-hole server for my network.
What a lot of fun using well designed software - #DietPi and #PiHole
Learnt loads on the journey configuring everything:
- DietPi
- Pi-hole
- ufw
- fail2banCompleted the build when I got the USB backup going via a cron job - very easy with DietPi.
Now deployed - Updated my DHCP server to deliver my Pi-hole server!
DietPi and Pi-hole are a perfect combo on a Pi!

I just realized my #RaspberryPi2 and #RaspberryPi3B are 10 and 7 years old.
No wonder they were struggling haha. Time to find new uses for them. Thinking one will continue as #Kodi box just for the #RV I just want to find an elegant way to add it to the #TV. For the other I've tried it as a #HomeAssistant server but, I am thinking it is time to try and set up a #NAS. Wish me luck! -

#1m2lab puuhastelua, nyt saapi kaikkia keskeisiä jännitteitä (+3.3v/+5v/+12v/-12v) käden ulottuvilta. Vanha ATX-poweri hommiin. Näyttöön tuleepi skoopin ruutu.

My BSDonPis is running clusterized CouchDB now. The next thing that I need to do is to make the query accessible through my server's API. So, I can push IoT node's data to this database from everywhere. For the sake of research fund 😊
note: This is my first time running CouchDB, therefore I need to learn how this db works.

Estic molt satisfet de com funciona tot plegat. La tasca de la #RaspberryPI3B torna a ser, només, fer de servidor #DNS, tant intern com extern, per els dispositius de la xarxa de casa. Es nota força la diferència respecte a un servidor DNS extern, més rapid resolen IPs.
En la #RaspberryPI4B hi tinc un servidor #Mastodon i un #Pleroma, dos fitxers #Bash respectius envien automàticament la IP pública al servidor DNS de mastodont.cat per a actualitzar el registre A de cada un dels dos subdominis. -
