Driver USB experimental para Pistorm con Pi 3A+
Se ha publicado un nuevo driver experimental que permite utilizar el puerto USB de una Raspberry Pi 3A+ conectada mediante PiStorm en sistemas Amiga, utilizando la pila USB Poseidon 4.5. El controlador se denomina
berrypi3ap.devicey está desarrollado para configuraciones con Emu68.Las pruebas se han realizado tanto en Amiga 500 como en Amiga 2000, con resultados positivos utilizando diferentes dispositivos USB. Se han probado memorias USB, teclados y varios ratones, incluida la The A500 Mouse, aunque esta última todavía requiere algunos ajustes para funcionar correctamente.
El driver ya incorpora soporte para hot-plug y las memorias USB pueden utilizarse mediante
usbscsi.device, incluyendo unidades de hasta 64 GB. El almacenamiento puede montarse desde AmigaOS utilizando sistemas de archivos como FAT95 o NTFS3G.La principal limitación actual es el uso de varios dispositivos simultáneamente. Aunque se ha conseguido detectar hubs USB y comunicarse con los dispositivos conectados a ellos, el funcionamiento todavía no es suficientemente estable. Por ahora se recomienda utilizar un único dispositivo USB.
El desarrollo continúa siendo experimental y pueden producirse errores de enumeración o incompatibilidades dependiendo del periférico utilizado. El autor solicita pruebas con otras configuraciones de PiStorm y Amiga. El desarrollo está orientado actualmente a Raspberry Pi 3A+ con Emu68, por lo que la compatibilidad con otros modelos de Raspberry Pi todavía no está confirmada.

El proyecto aprovecha las capacidades DMA de Paula para utilizar el puerto de disquetera como canal de comunicación. Los datos se transmiten mediante operaciones RAW de
trackdisk.device, mientras que el controladorPaulaNET.deviceproporciona una interfaz SANA-II compatible con pilas TCP/IP como Roadshow.La solución alcanza alrededor de 43 KB/s de transferencia y puede funcionar en un Amiga 1200 sin aceleradora, con una carga de CPU reducida gracias al uso de DMA. El proyecto continúa en desarrollo y contempla mejoras como actualizaciones de firmware OTA, optimizaciones de la transferencia y una posible integración directa con la pila TCP/IP de la Pico.

Amiga Power: alimentación USB-C GaN y monitorización para A500, A600 y A1200.
A la PowerShark le ha salido competencia. Después de los proyectos de Slince y Ms Mad Lemon, de los que ya hablamos en su momento en Amigatronics, llega ahora Amiga Power, una nueva propuesta desarrollada por José Luis Arenas (Arenas Electrochannel), para proporcionar una alimentación moderna a los Amiga 500, A600 y A1200.
El proyecto utiliza como base un alimentador USB-C GaN de 45 W. Según explica su creador, un adaptador desarrollado específicamente para Amiga se encarga de negociar con el cargador el voltaje necesario para alimentar el ordenador. La propuesta mantiene toda la solución en el exterior del equipo, sin necesidad de realizar modificaciones internas.
Uno de los aspectos más interesantes de Amiga Power es su sistema de monitorización. El denominado cable inteligente incorpora una pantalla que muestra en tiempo real voltaje, amperaje y potencia en vatios, mientras que el propio Amiga Power dispone de un display que permite visualizar las tres líneas de alimentación del Amiga: 5 V, 12 V y -12 V. El módulo incorpora además su propio botón de encendido con la comodidad añadida que ello conlleva.
El planteamiento recuerda inevitablemente a PowerShark, aunque existen diferencias entre ambas propuestas. Mientras PowerShark apuesta también por una solución de alimentación externa y compacta, Amiga Power añade la posibilidad de consultar los parámetros eléctricos mediante sus pantallas, una característica que puede resultar especialmente interesante para quienes quieran controlar el comportamiento de la alimentación de su equipo.
El conjunto mostrado corresponde al Amiga Power Deluxe, con un precio de 75 euros. Este pack incluye el alimentador GaN de 45 W, el cable inteligente con display digital para visualizar los voltajes y el consumo, y el propio Amiga Power que estará disponible en tres colores: negro, beige y arena. El precio solo de la unidad Amiga Power es de 65€.

Nueva Mediator PCI 1200 ZIV black de ELBOX.
La veterana ELBOX, conocida por sus desarrollos de hardware para Amiga, vuelve a presentar un producto nuevo después de bastante tiempo. Se trata de la Mediator PCI 1200 ZIV black, una nueva propuesta de su conocida familia Mediator destinada a los Amiga 1200 equipados con busboard Z-IV.
La nueva Mediator incorpora cuatro ranuras PCI 2.2, bus PCI de 32 bits con frecuencias de 33 y 66 MHz, soporte para bus mastering y DMA y una línea de alimentación de 3,3 V. Permite utilizar simultáneamente hasta cuatro tarjetas PCI, además de una tarjeta Z-IV y hasta cinco tarjetas Zorro II.
ELBOX contempla compatibilidad con tarjetas gráficas Voodoo y S3 Virge, tarjetas de sonido, USB, red y sintonizadoras de televisión, además de aceleradoras 68030, 68040, 68060 y PowerPC.
La Mediator PCI 1200 ZIV black tiene un precio de 333,95 € IVA incluido, aunque durante la preventa se aplica un 10 % de descuento, quedando en 300,56 € para los pedidos realizados hasta el 26 de agosto a las 23:59 CET. This might be the answer for what I've been trying to do - but not quite as I envisioned. Apparently this PiStorm68K v1.8 Special Edition hasn't been fully tested in Amigas, but it's designed for the minimig. It keeps a 68000 on board w/ physical switch to fall back on.
Debating getting this for my Amiga 2000.
Anyone out there using one of these in an Amiga? (I'm looking for an affordable Amiga 2000 accelerator that can fall back to 100% base 68000 mode.)

I have an Amiga 2000 and would like to add a PiStorm accelerator to it - but I want to slot it into the CPU slot on the motherboard with a CPUslot-to-64pinDIP adapter, several of which are currently available out there for purchase.
Critically, I want to be able to disable the PiStorm sitting in the CPU slot for 100% fallback to the original 68000 on the motherboard.
Is anyone aware of a CPU slot adapter capable of fully disabling the CPU in the slot?
I see this unit which has a DIP switch for E-clock and _BOSS which, I believe, control what I'm trying to do. I suppose I could remove the jumper and replace with cabled switches. Any issue with this?

Critically, I want to be able to disable the PiStorm sitting in the CPU slot for 100% fallback to the original 68000 on the motherboard.
Is anyone aware of a CPU slot adapter capable of fully disabling the CPU in the slot?
I see this unit which has a DIP switch for E-clock and _BOSS which, I believe, control what I'm trying to do. I suppose I could remove the jumper and replace with cabled switches. Any issue with this?
