Lost and Found

During achieving photos using Rapid Photo Downloaded in Linux Mint, I lost many folders containing thousands of photos from an external hard disk and am still recovering them.

My hard lesson: allow extra time to complete writing process, and always remove external hard drives, jump drives and SD cards safely. Do not yank them out based on seeing that transfer completed in the file explorer. Exfat format seems to be more vulnerable than NTFS.

Sehr schade!

Currently migrating from Adobe #lightroom to FOSS alternatives like #rapidphotodownloader , #digikam and #rawtherapee or #darktable . Any good tips out there?

@ademalsasa you might want to checkout
#digikam for image management, tagging, logging etc
#rapidphotodownloader for image download from a camera
#blender for 3d modeling and animation.
all not exactly graphic design but close to it.

The software Rapid Photo Downloader¹ is the only one, that I got to download photos from an iPhone. What a great tool! #RapidPhotoDownloader #Linux #iPhone
