The Ultimate Guide to Raleigh, NC Breweries in 2026
Raleigh’s craft beer scene continues to grow, making the City of Oaks one of the top beer destinations in North Carolina. From neighborhood taprooms and award-winning breweries to beer gardens and brewery restaurants, there’s no shortage of places to grab a locally brewed pint in Raleigh.
Whether you’re looking for hazy IPAs, crisp lagers, barrel-aged stouts, sour beers, or family-friendly brewery patios, Raleigh has something for every craft beer fan. The city is also home to major beer festivals like Brewgaloo and the popular Raleigh Beer Trail, which encourages visitors to explore breweries across the region.
Must-Visit Raleigh Breweries
One of Raleigh’s most recognizable breweries, this local favorite offers a huge taproom experience with rotating craft beers, trivia nights, karaoke, run clubs, and food trucks. Their famous “Hell Yes Ma’am” beer has become a staple in the local craft beer scene.
Located near Downtown Raleigh, Trophy Brewing combines award-winning craft beer with artisan pizza and a community-focused atmosphere. Their rotating beer list and creative seasonal brews make it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Known nationally for its unique combination of craft beer, dim sum, flowers, and books, Brewery Bhavana offers one of the most unique brewery experiences in the Triangle. Their Belgian-inspired beers and stylish downtown atmosphere continue to attract beer lovers from across the country.
A favorite for beer enthusiasts near RTP and North Raleigh, Gizmo Brew Works is known for experimental beers, rotating taps, live music, and outdoor fire pits. Their industrial-style taproom is a great place to relax with friends.
This newer North Raleigh brewery has quickly built a loyal following with approachable craft beers, family-friendly vibes, and a laid-back taproom atmosphere. Edit Beer focuses on quality lagers, IPAs, and classic styles.
Located in Downtown Raleigh, Incendiary Brewing offers a modern craft beer experience with creative brews, dog-friendly seating, and a lively taproom scene. Their IPA and lager lineup has become increasingly popular with Raleigh beer fans.
This North Raleigh microbrewery delivers a more relaxed neighborhood brewery experience with pet-friendly outdoor seating and locally brewed beers. It’s a great hidden gem for locals looking to avoid the larger crowds.
Part brewery, part restaurant, Heyday Brewing has become a go-to destination for casual hangouts, weekend brunch, and craft beer. Their spacious indoor and outdoor setup makes it one of the more social brewery destinations in Raleigh.
This taproom from R&D Brewing features small-batch releases, Carolina Hurricanes-themed beers, and a bright modern space perfect for watching games or meeting friends for a drink.
While technically a beer bar rather than a brewery, House of Hops deserves a spot on every Raleigh beer guide thanks to its massive rotating tap selection, outdoor seating, trivia nights, and extensive craft beer collection.
The Raleigh Beer Trail is one of the best ways to explore the local brewery scene. Beer lovers can check into participating breweries across Raleigh and the Triangle to earn points and prizes while discovering new local favorites.
Brewgaloo: Raleigh’s Biggest Beer FestivalEvery spring, Downtown Raleigh hosts Brewgaloo, North Carolina’s largest craft beer festival. The event brings together more than 100 breweries, food trucks, live music acts, and thousands of attendees for a weekend celebration of local craft beer culture.
Why Raleigh’s Brewery Scene Keeps GrowingRaleigh’s breweries have become more than places to grab a drink — they’re community gathering spaces that host run clubs, bike rides, trivia nights, markets, concerts, food truck rodeos, and family-friendly events.
Even as the craft beer industry faces national challenges, Raleigh continues to stand out as one of the strongest beer cities in the Southeast.
Final SipWhether you’re a longtime craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a fun weekend activity, Raleigh’s brewery scene offers something for everyone. From Downtown Raleigh taprooms to hidden neighborhood breweries, there are endless opportunities to discover your next favorite beer in the Triangle.
