Morning reading: a new popular history of the feminist bohemian free speech club Heterodoxy, which started in Greenwich Village in 1913. A number of the members were lesbians or bi, but I’m not clear whether same-sex sexuality was open for discussion in the group. They didn’t take minutes, to protect the freedom of discussion. I’m torn over whether I think it possible/likely that they did or didn’t talk about sex/love between women. #histsex #queerhist #LGBTQ #womenshistory #queertodon
